Housing, care, HR and school data is some of the most sensitive information an organisation holds. It covers people receiving care, tenants, staff and children. This page sets out how we look after it.
Where your data lives
- aijo products are hosted in the United Kingdom, on Microsoft Azure in its UK South region in London.
- The one exception is Jo. Jo is our optional assistant and is off unless your organisation switches it on. If it is on, Anthropic, PBC processes the questions Jo sends, which may be outside the UK. Jo cannot see care records, logs or messages. Read more on Jo and your data.
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- You can export your organisation's data whenever you ask, so you are never locked in.
Who can see it
- Least privilege inside aijo. Our own staff only have access to what their role needs.
- One permissions model. Your administrators set roles once and they apply across Care, Housing, HR and Rota. People only see the records their role allows, such as safeguarding notes or medication records.
- Secure messaging built in. Staff can message each other inside the app, so sensitive details do not end up in personal WhatsApp groups.
A record of every change
Every change in every aijo product is recorded in an audit log, showing who changed what and when. That supports inspections and investigations, and helps you answer questions from regulators, commissioners and families.
Reliability
We build on proven technology and test upgrades before they reach you, and we roll them out on our schedule so you never have to plan around them. If something goes wrong, a person in the UK stays on the phone until it is fixed.

If you think you have found a security problem in this website or any aijo product, email security@aijo.uk. We read every report and reply to all of them.

- describe the issue and the steps to reproduce it
- avoid accessing, changing or deleting data that does not belong to you
- give us reasonable time to fix the issue before sharing details publicly
